Summary
The Safety Inspector support the Safety Team in the day-to-day operations. Reporting to Workplace Safety and Health Officer, he/she will work closely with all the departments in the company, including outsource service provider. He/she will assist the team to ensure that SMS is implemented and integrated throughout the organization
Functionally reporting to Workplace Safety and Health Officer, he/ she to ensure the company complies with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Airport requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in review the Safety Management System and consolidating data for Safety Monthly Reporting
- Support in review processes and workflows to improve operational effectiveness and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Conduct regular inspections to assess safety performance, identify areas of improvement and monitor corrective and preventive measures
- Monitor and ensure that corrective actions taken are adequate and analyze safety and quality records for adverse trends
- Act as Secretary to Safety Action Groups (SAG) to follow up on outstanding issues and liaise with relevant parties on the closure
- Conduct monthly safety inspection and present the findings to stakeholder and carry out investigation for Serious Injury or fatality (SIF) and SIF potential cases
- Ensure respective departments submit their incident report promptly
- Ensure risk assessment on the work processes, equipment and workplace are carried out by the respective departments and review according to MOM regulations
- Ensure Service Providers and Contractors have submitted their Risk Assessment for review before commencement of work
- Conduct safety orientation to new employees and contractors before work commencement and support department’s assigned role in company’s Crisis Management Plan
- Support in conduction annual Safety audits on all department and follow up with the respective departments on areas that need improvement
- Assist in conducting monthly safety promotion activities annually to educate and remind staff on safety
- Maintain ongoing compliance with requirements of the relevant authorities as well as internal policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedure
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree/ Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution with 3 - 5 years of working experience managing safety aspect preferably in airline or aviation services
- Preferable a registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISAGO and with experience in safety audits
