Co-founder - Sourdough Bakery and French Pastries

We are seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial-minded individual to join us as a co-founder for our upcoming venture, a sourdough bakery specializing in French pastries. As a co-founder, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the business, establishing its brand identity, and ensuring its success in the artisanal bakery market.


**Responsibilities:**

1. **Strategic Planning:** Collaborate with other co-founders to develop the overall vision, mission, and strategic direction of the bakery.

2. **Product Development:** Lead the development of the bakery's product offerings, focusing on sourdough-based bread and French pastries.

3. **Recipe Creation:** Create and refine recipes for sourdough breads, croissants, pastries, and other baked goods, ensuring high quality and consistency.

4. **Operations Management:** Oversee day-to-day operations of the bakery, including sourcing ingredients, managing inventory, and optimizing production processes.

5. **Brand Building:** Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute branding and marketing strategies that effectively communicate the bakery's unique value proposition.

6. **Customer Experience:** Ensure exceptional customer experiences by maintaining high standards of product quality, service, and cleanliness.

7. **Team Building:** Recruit, train, and manage a team of bakers and staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

8. **Financial Management:** Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the bakery, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

9. **Community Engagement:** Build relationships with local communities, suppliers, and partners to support the bakery's growth and establish a loyal customer base.


**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in the bakery or food industry, with a strong background in sourdough baking and French pastry-making.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for creating and building new businesses.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, business management, or a related field preferred.
