HR Officer (Recruitment & Training)

Job Overview:

The HR Officer specializing in Recruitment and Training will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and hiring candidates to onboarding and facilitating training programs. This role requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work closely with various departments to meet recruitment needs and ensure that staff development is aligned with company goals.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Recruitment:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, and employee referrals, to attract top talent.
  • Conduct initial interviews and coordinate further interviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure a smooth candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain a talent pool database for future job openings.
  • Prepare and extend job offers and negotiate terms of employment.

2. Onboarding:

  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure that new hires are well integrated into the company culture and are equipped with necessary tools and resources.
  • Manage onboarding paperwork, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

3. Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs through consultations with managers and employees.
  • Develop and deliver training programs (in-house or through external providers) to enhance employees’ skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of employee training and certifications.

4. Performance Management:

  • Assist in implementing performance review processes, ensuring that employees receive timely and constructive feedback.
  • Support the HR Manager in developing employee development plans based on performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance to employees on career development opportunities within the organization.

5. Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal HR policies throughout the recruitment and training processes.
  • Maintain accurate records related to recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Generate regular reports on recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, turnover rates) and training outcomes for management review.

6. Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding recruitment and training inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to employee performance, engagement, and development.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote open communication between employees and management.



Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment and training.
  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., applicant tracking systems, learning management systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth understanding of recruitment best practices and knowledge of training development methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with collaborative skills.

HQ Office Location : Joo Koon


Willing to travel island wide to meet or inspect on staff behavior and performance.
