Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and challenges.
- Provide technical consultation to customers, offering solutions that align with their operational goals.
2. Sales Support:
- Scout, develop and obtain leads with new customers to develop sales in your assigned territory.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Develop detailed quotes and proposals, addressing customer needs and specifying technical requirements.
3. Service Support:
- Liaise with customers, end-users and purchasers to introduce the company’s service capabilities.
- Drive the sales of services to existing and new customers with equipment sold by the company.
- Coordinate with the engineering and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Act as a point of contact for post-sales support, troubleshooting and sales of service.
4. Market and Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and understand advancements in equipment and service offerings.
- Share insights, feedback and customer requirements with the product development and marketing teams to drive innovation.
- Participate in all company-participated trade shows and seminars in Singapore and abroad.
5. Training and Support:
- Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
- Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure proper usage and understanding of products.
- Assist management with any other ad-hoc tasks and duties as and where required.
Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred or related technical field, Minimum Diploma in related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering role, preferably within the equipment sales and service industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of vacuum pump technology or other technical equipment. Proficiency in technical sales and solution design.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Travel: Required to support regional customers in Southeast Asia (30-40%).
