1. Working closely with the Planning and Project Controls Manager,
carry out planning/scheduling, risk management, cost control, and
reporting tasks on the Project during both detailed design and
construction delivery.
2. Serve as the point of contact in planning/scheduling, cost analysis,
and progress metrics reporting. Understand the relationships
between the project controls functions estimating /scheduling cast
control and risk management.
3. Develop accurate and timely project cost forecasts with the
participation of lead staff and project management. The forecasts
should be valued and used by the project team to contribute to the
overall management of the project.
4. Prepare and issue cost analysis narratives including
recommendations for corrective actions that are used by the project
team to manage the work.
5. Create and issue client and internal status reports that effectively
communicate status and trends.
6. Baseline and issue network-logic-driven schedules that meet the
needs of, and are used by, the project team.
7. Update schedules within Primavera P6 with actual progress and
forecast remaining durations, project milestones, and completion
dates.
8. Monitor earned value systems that accurately measure progress and
performance. Analyze the data to lead the project controls staff and
the project team. Understand earned-value concepts and terms.
9. Apply practical field experience with planning/scheduling
knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedules and
suggest mitigation plans.
10. Implement and effectively use company-standard project control
systems and project or program-specific project control systems.
11. Lead the Project controls functions for one or more large value
contracts during the construction phase based on site.
12. Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 -15 years of relevant experience with a Degree in
Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or
related technical field.
2. Understand EPC/ full-service project delivery processes and apply
the principles of project controls work processes and practices as it
relates to the development of cost control.
3.Possess good data handling manipulation skills.
4.Possess good working knowledge of Primavera P6.
5.Working knowledge of Risk Management or Reporting tools an
advantage.
6. Ability to effectively communicate project controls information to
varied audiences including engineering, project/construction
management, and project teams.
7. Able to write accurate and meaningful project status reports and
possess good written skills.
