We are seeking a seasoned Ansible Engineer with a solid background in both Windows administration and Unix/Linux environments, including proficiency in Ansible for automation and a strong understanding of system hardening techniques. This role demands a proactive approach to maintaining high security and performance standards in RHEL Unix setups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain RHEL Unix and Windows environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Manage Red Hat Satellite Server for efficient patch management and system configurations.
- Utilize Ansible Tower to automate tasks and streamline deployments.
- Implement and uphold system hardening guidelines to enhance security.
- Conduct regular system updates and patches to maintain software integrity.
- Address and resolve system incidents and issues promptly.
- Manage system changes adhering to established change management protocols.
- Provide on-call support as required to maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with other teams to support and improve Linux/Unix system operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless technology integration.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of system configurations and operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, incident resolutions, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in RHEL Unix Administration, with a strong preference for candidates with VMware knowledge.
- In-depth experience with Ansible for task automation and configuration management.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux system hardening and security best practices.
- Skilled in incident and change management processes.
- Willingness and ability to provide 24/7 support as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Desirable Skills:
- Professional certifications in RHEL, Ansible, or related fields are highly advantageous.
- Experience working in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, etc.
