As a Project Manager for Cloud Migration, you will lead the end-to-end migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications from on-prem to AWS Cloud. You will work closely with solution architects, cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and cloud architects, to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery of cloud migration projects. Your role will involve managing timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring that projects meet business objectives and comply with security and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage cloud migration projects from on-premises to AWS, ensuring that project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements.
- Work closely with solution architects, cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and vendors to execute the migration strategy.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Manage the development and execution of migration roadmaps, including application, database, and data migration.
- Lead project teams in the identification of dependencies, bottlenecks, and resource needs to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with AWS cloud security standards, policies, and best practices.
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor post-migration performance and ensure operational stability and optimization of AWS cloud infrastructure.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in managing IT projects, preferably experience in GCC migration.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and security best practices.
- Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure migration projects, particularly from on-premises to cloud environments.
- • Proven track record in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Experience with cloud automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) will be an added advantage.
