Job Description:
- Officer and rating crew planning: this involves assigning and choosing members in collaboration with the Technical Superintendent
- Start briefings for the on-signing personnel and handle pertinent internal and external communications. Track and oversee global crew changes in the most economical way.
- Examine and assess the crew performance reports, and be ready to coordinate or communicate any necessary disciplinary actions with the vessel's command and the Technical Superintendent onshore.
- In close coordination with the insurance department, handle medical crises and cases pertaining to the crew.
- Keep yourself updated on regulatory developments, such as those pertaining to STCW 95 flag state regulations and adhere to the company's protocol.
- Frequent ship trips close to the regional headquarters
Requirements:
- Proactive, ambitious, and enthusiastic individual who is keen to contribute to the creation of a new ship management system by implementing newly developed procedures for crew-related issues.
- Competent communicator who is well-organized, structured, and capable of handling last-minute crew change circumstances with assurance.
- Knowledge of planning and managing employee relations Ideally, you have prior experience in the crewing and shipping industries.
- Speaking and writing English fluently allows you to interact with a global staff of various levels.
