about the job:
This role involves providing day-to-day IT support for end users, including troubleshooting Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, as well as managing and maintaining user hardware such as computers, laptops, and printers. The position also covers network support, including configuring and managing Cisco and FortiGate devices, monitoring VPNs, and providing basic audio/video support for conferencing systems like Cisco, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. You will be responsible for user onboarding and offboarding, maintaining IT asset documentation, supporting the Avaya Telephony system, and providing remote assistance to HQ and 8 satellite offices, including routine phone support once a month.
skills and experience required:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (computers, laptops, printers) and providing user support.
- Hands-on experience with Layer 1, 2, and 3 network devices and protocols, including Cisco and FortiGate administration (VLAN configuration, tagging, trunks, VRRP).
- Experience in VPN support and monitoring.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Outlook administration.
- Basic knowledge of audio/video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams, Webex, Cisco).
- Familiarity with Avaya Telephony systems.
- Experience in user onboarding/offboarding and maintaining IT asset inventories.
- Ability to support both onsite and remote offices, with phone support on a rotational basis.
