This role will be based in Singapore.
Job responsibilities will include:
· Trading and balancing of assets in UK and Europe, with a high focus on renewables - maximizing PnL within Risk and Compliance framework
· Developing and executing day-to-day and intraday strategies
· Optimizing portfolios and exploiting the synergies between them
· Being able to execute all relevant operational tasks and procedures
· Obtaining expert understanding of the key drivers of the power market
· Actively pursuing knowledge to develop the team’s ability to forecast
· Taking active part in developing and executing algorithmic trading and automatization
· Suggesting improvements in trading and analytical activities to ensure that the team is constantly improving
· Participating in the shift rotation that includes day and weekend shifts
· Providing open and honest feedback
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Finance/Economics or STEM degree
A strong interest in trading, financial and commodity markets, and energy systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail
Focus on results
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Former experience as an analyst or trader is preferable but not essential
Proficiency in Excel and programming skills (Python, R) is a plus
Flexibility in terms of working weekends
