Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall accounting processes. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial activities and providing reliable support to the accounting team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in the accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a regular basis.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts and financial information.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Participate in audits and help prepare necessary documentation.
  • Perform other accounting duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
