What are we looking for?
Arcadis DPS Advanced Process Manufacturing is seeking a Field Coordinator with a discipline specific specialist background working directly with contractors to ensure the installation meets all quality, spec, and design requirements. The Field Coordinator monitors field activities for the project and provides general support, performing on-site services, coordinating field workers, liaising with the Client, project meeting participation, oversees logistics. The Field Coordinator is an immediate resource for the contractor for all technical related issues and clarifications.
Job Scope:
Responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
- Assume responsibility for ensuring a routing coordination process between all specific tools’ trades and the tools around
- Spend adequate time in field, minimum 6 hours per day
- Proactively find and resolve issues
- Coordination of starting the routing process between trades
- Take ownership of problems immediately in order not to delay the schedule. Work with trades, ensure correct parties are involved, and drive to resolution
- Coordinate base build/tool install routing issues.
- Notify the trades for possible conflicts regarding the routing of the future surrounding tools.
- Provide weekly status report to the Construction Manager
- Experience in scanning, 3D modelling scans
- Interface with design: Resolve Design (Typo errors, technical and parts issues) RP/IFC Change & field issues
- Occasionally Participate in design review in FOK or whenever there is a technical issue
- Supervise off-site fabrication process and mode of operation:
- Continues coaching to contractor and proliferation of quality mindset
- Monitor the implementation of contractors’ quality program
- Abide all Client standards/procedures, local and international codes including but not limited to the following: Client Master Specifications, Client [SID] Standard Installation Details, Local and International Codes
- Perform quality assurance in the field during the installation. The expectation is to observe each line at least once prior to hand-over to QC. FI shall record all the findings (positive and negative) and maintain the log of field quality observations.
- Review drawings for the utilities with specific requirements (UPW, EV etc.).
- Verify field installation per approved drawing
- Resolve routing conflicts during installation
- Any tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Education & Experience:
- Ideal candidate would possess a BS or BA in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of field service management or project management experience required
Essential Skills:
- Strong IT Skills in MS Project, Excel, Project, Word
- Knowledge of Design and Scheduling Packages
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in a technical setting, preferably an engineering department
- Analytical, problem-solving skills, and the capability to work well under deadlines
