Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Early Intervention Teacher to join our team at ONE Intervention Centre. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in empowering children with diverse needs through engaging and meaningful learning experiences. You will work closely with families and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized education plans that support each child's unique developmental journey.
Key Responsibilities
1) Deliver high-quality early intervention instruction to children with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental delays.
2) Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and learning activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
3) Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
4) Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development and learning. 5) Provide guidance and support to parents on strategies to reinforce learning at home and improve overall family quality of life.
6) Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, adventure, and discovery.
7) Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of program initiatives and improvements.
8) Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in the preparation of reports for stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
1) Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
2) Experience working with children with special needs in an educational or therapeutic setting.
3) Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in early intervention.
4) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children and families.
5) Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
6) Passion for supporting children with diverse needs and enhancing their quality of life.
