Senior Cloud Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
· Create, configure, and maintain cloud environments, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and load balancers.
· Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and Auto Scaling.
· Deploy and manage instances on cloud platforms, including AWS and PCF.
· Integrate routers, switches, OSS tools, and service provisioning tools with network management systems (NMS).
· Handle the end-to-end delivery and integration of network elements with Nokia NSP NMS products.
· Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, integrating tools such as GIT and MAVEN.
· Develop and deploy containerized applications within Kubernetes clusters.
· Automate routine tasks and server health checks using Shell scripting and Ansible playbooks.
· Manage and maintain Solaris and Linux servers, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest patches and configurations.
· Lead migrations of on-premises environments and virtual machines to cloud platforms using tools like PlateSpin.
· Oversee large-scale data center migrations, including Unix server migrations to new data centers.
· Manage and conduct Continuity of Business (COB) disaster recovery tests for critical web, application, and database servers.
· Ensure high availability of infrastructure with 24x7 support across multiple data centers.
· Lead a team of engineers to deliver quality infrastructure solutions within defined SLAs.
· Create and refine change management processes to minimize rejections and improve implementation success rates.
· Develop procedures for server maintenance, patching, and upgrade processes.
· Implement and manage security measures for cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including network ACLs and security groups.
· Participate in audit closures and ensure compliance with client standards for server management and security.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 9+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, system administration, and network integration.
· Proven experience with AWS services, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, and PlateSpin.
· Extensive hands-on experience with Solaris, Linux (RHEL), and Veritas Cluster Service (VCS).
· Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, and experience with automation tools like Chef and Ansible.
· Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, PCF) and virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware).
· Expertise in network integration and management of NMS, OSS, and service provisioning tools.
· Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation frameworks.
· Experience with server migration, data center operations, and disaster recovery planning.
· SPLUNK Fundamental 1 & 2 (preferred).
· Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.) are a plus.
