Director, CPM Distribution

Job Summary

The Credit and Portfolio Management (CPM) team focuses on reinforcing origination discipline, reducing profit and loss volatility and optimising capital and liquidity resources to support the growth of the Corporate and Investing Banking (CIB) and Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) business.

Business
• Drive efficient and effective secondary distribution of Bank exposures, including the development of diversified asset distribution and liquidity distribution options, for relief of risk limits and RWA capacity and mitigating liquidity costs.
• Form, lead and work with the deal team(s) for execution of transactions (e.g. collateralised loan obligations “CLOs” or various structured solutions).
• Participate in the Distribution Forum to co-ordinate distribution strategy consistently across the Bank.
• Actively explore and advance on new types and avenues of distribution to support origination, which includes looking into ways to expand the distribution investor base.
• Provide transparency on the cost, effectiveness, and execution risk of a transaction to enable decision-making; which includes maintaining discipline on assessing comparable transactions.

Process
• Manage the loan sales process, including ensuring that Syndication and Financing Risk (SFR) and CPM Asset teams are well coordinated.
• Manage the replenishment (communication with relationship managers and regional CPM teams) and optimisation of CLO hedging, working closely with BSSG deal management team.
• Ensure robust governance, reporting and booking of transactions to ensure benefits are taken to the extent committed.

People & Talent
• Work with stakeholders within CPM, Risk, and the Business to determine and execute appropriate distribution and hedging strategies, to reduce concentration risks and free up capital and liquidity capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management
• Ensure tight adherence to compliance standards in execution of transactions, distribution of assets and risk hedging activities.
• Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape and market structure related to distribution activities, including responding to regulatory questions and updates.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • University graduate or Masters in Finance.
  • Chartered Accountant or CFA certification will be advantageous.
  • Credit experience is a must
  • 8 years of Banking experience working across Corporate and Investment Banking with background or experience in treasury, finance, transaction banking, markets or risk.
  • Governance and interaction with internal stakeholders is required
  • Self starter, good communication skills
