Our Client is in the Manufacturing Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an HSE Manager to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain EHS policies in line with industry standards and regulations and monitor key EHS metrics, driving continuous improvement and compliance.
- Conduct regular facility audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensure company adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations, acting as the main contact with agencies like DOE, DOSH, and BOMBA.
- Manage and implement employee safety training on practices such as forklift operations, fire prevention, lockout/tagout, and hazardous materials handling.
- Inspect sites for potential safety hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure implementation.
- Lead accident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective measures.
- Collaborate across teams to promote a safety-first culture and employee engagement in EHS initiatives and maintain SH&E records and documentation.
- Provide training on EHS policies and best practices.
- Ensure timely submission of SH&E permits and reports to meet regulatory requirements.
- Perform site audits, reporting SH&E metrics to the Regional Manager.
- Conduct routine testing and inspections, assist with environmental monitoring, and support waste and water treatment operations.
- Liaise with EHS regulatory agencies and responsible for emergency response plans and safety drills.
- Any ad-hoc duty as given
Requirements
- Min Degree in HSE or relevant field
- Min 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing environment such as F&B, Pharma, Chemical or Oil & Gas
- A Resisted FSM and Safety Officer
- Experience in Implementation and initiating new initiatives of HSE matters in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge in Internal Auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 140001, OHSAS 18001)
