Job Overview:
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will immerse themselves in development processes, gaining a thorough understanding of application components to enhance scalability, stability, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up, managing, and maintaining products, middleware, and big data applications and services.
- Executing regular and ad-hoc server-side deployments, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Designing and implementing automation workflows.
- Effectively managing capacity and resources.
- Conducting comprehensive stress tests to improve application performance and eliminate redundancies.
- Preparing and maintaining operational documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Understanding of computer networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) and operating systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to perform well under pressure.
- A passionate, responsible work ethic.
- Quick learning capabilities and a collaborative team spirit.
- Attention to detail and a cautious, meticulous approach.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Zabbix, or Grafana.
- Knowledge of load balancing solutions like LVS, Nginx, OpenResty, or HAProxy.
- Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kafka and Codis.
