Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline from an International recognized Institution and/or ANZII or ACII
  • 5 years & above in a similar capacity within the general insurance industry with sound technical knowledge of all General classes of Insurance as well as Reinsurance Treaty setup
  • Strong business acumen to understand economic and business models.
  • Strong knowledge of General insurance and reinsurance accounting and reporting
  • Good knowledge of reinsurance practice including experience in handling outward reinsurance Treaties and Facultative reinsurance.
  • Good analytical skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Experience in analysis of data

Job Description

  • Prepare Annual Treaty renewal data pack including review of Treaty wordings and requirements by the company to achieve the business plan targets.
  • Update the Treaty codes and set up in Company's application system on finalization of the Treaty renewals.
  • Conduct Underwriting Files peer review.
  • To ensure all Reinsurance contracts (inward and outward) are properly documented to meet the Contract
  • Certainty requirement and to submit the Contract Certainty monthly.
  • Provide ad hoc support to Operations team as required.
  • Treaty Special Acceptance requests by Underwriters and Distribution – to co-ordinate as well as to manage the proper recording.
  • In co-operation with Claims, to communicate with claims notifications to Reinsurers including cash calls.
  • Review of Quarterly Treaty Statement of Accounts done by Finance
  • Provide submissions of Regulatory or Group reports relating to Underwriting/Treaty.
  • Review and maintain all Underwriting Guidelines to ensure compliance with Group guidelines and Treaty requirements by working closely with respective Product Leaders and CUO.
  • Any other duties from time to time assigned by CUO or Management.
