As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Procurement Manager to oversee and manage our global procurement processes, working closely with senior leadership and international subsidiaries.
Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations across multiple regions, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier management, and alignment with the company's operational goals. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Procurement Manager will work closely with the Financial Controller and the Managing Directors of overseas subsidiaries. This role requires experience in international procurement, a strategic mindset, and the flexibility to work with teams in different time zones. Fluency in French (for operations in Guinea) and/or Chinese (for sourcing in Asia) is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Procurement Strategy: Execute the company’s global procurement strategy, ensuring cost-effective and efficient sourcing of materials, goods, and services.
- Supplier Management: Identify and manage relationships with key suppliers across regions, including Asia and Africa, ensuring the best terms and quality for the company’s operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO), Financial Controller, and Managing Directors of overseas subsidiaries to align procurement with operational goals and financial objectives.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and timely delivery, while minimizing risks related to supply chain disruptions.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize costs and improve procurement processes while maintaining high-quality standards for sourced goods and services.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with global sourcing, including supply chain disruptions, geopolitical issues, and fluctuating currencies.
- Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with local regulations and international standards, particularly in key regions such as Singapore, Guinea, and other emerging markets.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to monitor procurement performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making for global sourcing.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, supplier relationships, and cost savings to the COO, Financial Controller, and senior leadership.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure procurement practices are aligned with broader company objectives and governance standards.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a multinational or tech-driven company.
- Strong knowledge of international procurement processes, vendor management, and global supply chains.
- Experience in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation in an international context.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership, financial teams, and operational heads across diverse geographies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in French (for operations in Guinea) and/or Chinese (for sourcing in Asia) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across time zones and cultures.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and procurement-related financial metrics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including working Singapore hours and being adaptable to other time zones.
Preferred:
- Experience in procurement in emerging markets, particularly in Africa and Asia.
- Previous experience in the technology industry or related sectors.
