Overview
- Lead engineering site audits, gathering critical structural, electrical, and environmental data to drive innovative design tailored to each unique location.
- Develop and coordinate the design of solar PV systems, adapting to site conditions while ensuring alignment with industry standards (IEC, Singapore Standards).
- Craft detailed electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection designs using state-of-the-art CAD software.
- Own the Master Document Register (MDR), ensuring all critical design elements are tracked, updated, and followed through.
- Conduct in-depth energy production analysis for designed PV systems, continuously optimizing efficiency through cost-benefit analyses.
- Evaluate engineering specifications, and provide cutting-edge recommendations for improvements in solar design, driving technological advances while reducing costs.
- Assess the environmental and technological impact of plans, recommending innovative solutions to improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Serve as a key technical resource, guiding Project Managers and Engineers through installations, start-up, testing, and commissioning of solar systems. Be the go-to for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Create comprehensive checklists to ensure completed solar installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Analyze costs and benefits to refine project designs, executing cost-reduction strategies to improve overall system performance.
- Review and provide insights on EPC Scope of Work, ensuring specifications align with top-tier design and installation practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial PV system design and engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline is ideal).
- Expertise in low, medium, and high-voltage power electronics.
- Mastery of energy modeling software like PVsyst and CAD tools such as AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- A self-driven learner open to embracing emerging technologies.
- Familiar with relevant codes, including IEC, Singapore Standards, and construction practices.
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical, structural, and mechanical calculations.
