Job Description
- You shall work as a team to develop new accounts and serve existing customers on OTC swaps/derivatives products from multinational trading companies, banks, oil majors proprietary traders, and hedge funds;
- Provide timely broking services, accepting and executing orders on behalf of the client;
- Interacting with traders and handling negotiations of both parties (seller and buyer) concerned;
- Communicating and increasing awareness to improve the Company’s profile and branding in the marketplace;
- Conducting market research, tracking market movements, following the financial news, analysing and understanding the behaviour of trade of the oil and gas in the market/industry;
- Developing and maintaining a portfolio of customers’ contacts, and updating changes;
- Maintaining existing and developing new client relationships by frequently meeting and entertaining clients to develop business relationships further;
- Arranging and facilitating the trades done and input transactions into clearing exchanges such as ICE, CME & SGX and ensuring all transactions are timely inputted into the exchange to comply with the rules and regulations;
- On-board new clients following the correct process with administrative staff to ensure proper KYC and documentation are maintained for billing, recording, and collection.
Qualifications
- Experienced in energy/commodities broking eg. fuel oil, middle distillates, or petrochemicals.
- At least 1 year of physical/OTC swap broking or trading/business development experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have good people and relationship-building skills with traders. Added advantage if have accounts.
- A highly energetic, motivated individual, and enjoys doing sales and business development.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Min Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Fluent in English and added advantage if multi-lingua (European or Asian) to deal/liaise with European or Asian overseas clients.
