Job Description - Event Management Officer (EMO)
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and capable Event Management Officer (EMO) to assist in
managing events and visitor experiences at Marina Barrage. The EMO will be responsible for
ensuring the smooth execution of events, conducting site recces, coordinating logistics, and
managing VIP and VVIP visits. This role requires flexibility, as the EMO will be required to work
on weekends or after office hours, as per event needs.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in the daily operations of event spaces, including conducting site recces and
overseeing event setups and teardowns.
● Be present on-site during events to ensure smooth operations.
● Assist in managing VIP and VVIP visits, ensuring that all activities are executed
seamlessly.
● Handle enquiries related to events and visitor experience activities.
● Conduct monthly inventory checks and manage replacement of event-related items.
● Work closely with the Board and the event team to ensure all instructions and
requirements are met.
● Follow and update safety protocols for events as required.
Job Requirements:
● Minimum of 1 year of experience in event management or a related field.
● Diploma qualification in Engineering, Facilities, or Event Management.
● Obtain First-Aid and AED certification within two months from the start of deployment.
● Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
● Willingness to work weekends, after office hours, and as required for events.
Contract Details:
● Job Commencement Date: 1st January 2025.
● This is a contract-based position.
● The contract terms, including salary and benefits, will be discussed during the interview
process.
Additional Information:
● The EMO will report directly to the Board and will be part of the Events and Visits team.
● Transport allowances can be claimed if working hours start before 7am or end after
10.30pm.
● The EMO will only be entitled to claim off-hours for work on weekends or after office
hours unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Board.
