Job Description:

Overview of Position

The Senior Radiography Technician assists radiographers in clinical, administrative and technical duties and supervises senior radiography assistants and radiography technicians. He / She is also responsible for operating image management service.

Job Responsibilities

· Ensure cleanliness of cassettes, imaging plates and equipment.

· Perform equipment QA and maintain records.

· Perform simple trouble shooting on equipment (training provided by vendor).

· Assist radiographers in procedures and image processing.

· Assist radiographers in patient transfers.

· Prepare patients for imaging/procedures (e.g. risk factor screening, change patients).

· Perform duties such as patient registration and record keeping.

· Manage radiography assistants’ roster, attendance, leaves and deployment.

· Coordinate the tracking and supply of films/CDs.

· Support the daily operations of image management service, which include processing copies of scanned images and uploading scanned images from external sources.

· Keep good record and adhere to Patient Data Protection guidelines.

· Participate in continuous medical education and quality assurance programs as directed by supervisor.

· Assist in the orientation and induction program for new radiography assistants.

· Plan and conduct on-the-job training for new radiography assistant.

· Assist in identify training needs of radiography assistants.

· Participate in work improvement projects as directed.

Perform any other duties as assigned by radiographer in-charge / radiographer on duty supervisor.


Requirements:

· NITEC qualification preferred.

· 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.

· Compassionate and good patient care.

· Customer and service oriented.

· Able to read and speak in English.

· Knowledge of basic computer skills.

· Supervisory and coaching skills.

Working experience in hospitals will be an added advantage.
