The 6G Research Team Manager is responsible for overseeing the R&D activities for 6G communication system. The 6G Research Team Manager will build the team which is able to conduct research and prototyping for advanced cellular system. The 6G Research Team Manager will also be responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to communication system engineers and execute the projects effectively.
Responsibility
1. Team building and management: responsible for recruiting and assembling a high-performing team (>10) with the necessary expertise in 6G, AI and satellite communications research, with a min. of 10 years relevant experience in similar field.
2. Setting up operations: establishing the necessary infrastructure, processes, and workflows for the R&D team to operate effectively in MediaTek Singapore office.
3. Facilitating collaboration: engaging with Singapore universities and/or research centers and other relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration and joint research and prototyping initiatives for 6G communications.
4. R&D strategy and execution: working with the team to define the R&D strategy and execute projects accordingly, aligning it with the overall objectives of the 6G collaboration between MediaTek and Singapore government.
Requirement
1. MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering or related.

2. Deep understanding of mobile communication system and specifications, including standards such as 3G, 4G, 5G, and beyond.
3. Strong background in the wireless communication industry, with a proven track record of working on wireless communication technologies.
4. Expertise in at least one of following special areas: artificial intelligence (AI) applied to wireless communication, satellite communication systems, or energy engineering related to wireless networks.
5. Experience in coordinating teams across multiple sites and manage the project effectively to the success
