Job Objective/s
To provide the leadership to effectively lead the manufacturing teams in ATP operations and related operations in a manner to achieve maximum production and operating efficiencies in terms of safety, cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordinating the workload, including the following activities: · Planning – Ensuring resources and material will be available when needed · Scheduling – Assigning work schedules, establishing progress and communicating any deviations · Coordinating – Distributing workload, establishing priorities and being responsible for day-to-day activities of the assigned work
- Ensure quality of the work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality. .
- Responsible for the overall supervision, accountability and direction of all directly and indirectly reporting employees and contractors. This includes the following activities: · Selection & Hiring · Orientation & Training · Supervision & Attendance Management · Provides ongoing leadership to the production and methods departments · Performance Reviews & Salary Reviews · Labor Relations - Builds, motivates and retains a team that consistently meets production deadlines · Acts as the first point of contact for subcontractors · Shop floor supervisor reports to Production Manager Assembly and Test. ·
- Maximize the level of output of the manufacturing department by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment.
- Ensure that his/her area of responsibility follows the safety regulations, that all employees receive proper training. He is responsible for the health and safety of his/her directly reporting employees. · Manages direct labor cost/variances through scheduling based on production volumes. Ensures raw material usages are in agreement with product BOM's · Regularly reviews performance data and identifies gaps relevant to the team · Continuously evaluates production performance and focuses on continuous improvement in areas of opportunity/non-compliance · Assures good housekeeping practices (5S) through auditing, · Enforces plant rules and safety regulations · Counsels employees · Coordinates production to meet customer demands ensuring the maintenance work and project implementation outages are optimized
- Develop and maintain all standard manufacturing processes relating to process development, equipment design, change management and process.
- Drive Root Cause and Corrective Action. Create, analyze and drive operational performance metrics. Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity, reduce cost and improve quality.
- Define and recommend purchase of capital equipment, qualify new process, equipment and outsource vendor and it’s process to develop and improve process capabilities.
- Support the goals of the manufacturing operations, including on-time delivery, machine availability (up-time), and cost containment, efficient use of resources and processes optimization. Establish and enforce standardized manufacturing practices.
- Actively support the Quality System, including investigation and resolution of CAPAs and NCMRs.

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing with extensive experience in operations management
- Industrial management or similar discipline in the field of electronics assembly, photonics, semiconductors, telecommunications, company with similar or larger size and market capitalization.
Specific Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to provide leadership and innovation at all levels of the organization utilizing differing styles of management; from directive, to coaching and support, through delegation, as the situation arises
- Change management and conflict management skills
- Knowledgeable with Lean Production principles and practices
- Proven ability to change shop floor layout to Lean environment
