Our company is dedicated to driving technology development, commercialization, and operational excellence across multiple markets. We are seeking a highly experienced and organized Deputy CEO to support the CEO in overseeing day-to-day management and provide strategic guidance to key operational teams.


Job Summary:

The Deputy CEO will work closely with the CEO to ensure the smooth running of the company’s core operations. This includes overseeing financial management, human resources, technology development, and commercialization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Deputy CEO will regularly review reports and recommendations from key executives, including the Chief Operations Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Financial Controller and HR Business Partner. This role is critical to ensuring that the company’s operations align with the overall strategic goals while allowing the CEO to focus on stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Provide oversight and management of financial, human resource, technology development, and commercialization teams to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
  • Executive Coordination: Work closely with the executive team (Financial Controller, HR Business Partner, CTO, Chief Commercial Officer, COO) to review reports and recommendations, providing insights and feedback to the CEO.
  • Strategic Advice: Advise the CEO on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and aligning operational goals with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Financial Management: Oversee financial reporting and budgeting processes, ensuring financial sustainability and supporting the CEO with fundraising efforts.
  • Human Resource Leadership: Collaborate with the HR Business Partner to ensure that the company’s talent strategy aligns with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Technology & Commercialization: Work with the CTO and Chief Commercial Officer to drive product development, innovation, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Reporting to CEO: Regularly provide comprehensive reports and recommendations to the CEO to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Support the CEO in preparing reports and updates for shareholders and the board of directors, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a senior operational role, with a strong focus on financial, human resources, and technology management.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and working in a multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, human resource strategy, and technology commercialization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and align teams with business objectives.
  • Experience working in technology companies and across international markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific and Africa.
