Our Client:
Our client is a Japanese Trading company dealing in commodity plastics, engineering plastics, electronic materials, medical & healthcare products. They are currently looking for a passionate individual to join their team in Singapore as a Procurement Executive in their Food Division.
The Responsibilities:
- Handling full procurement functions including liaising with sales and suppliers on requirements, evaluation, negotiation and awards
- Conducting sourcing event including RFP/ tender
- Developing alternative suppliers and coordinate their qualification and approval
- Managing vendors to ensure quality, pricing and delivery objectives are met
- Working with Sales and Supply Chain Team on supply/ delivery matters for contract
- Following up with sales team on projects status and feedback to supplier
- Engaging and coordinating with suppliers for regulatory documentation support for sales team
- Other Ad hoc assignment by the Product Manager
The Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Chemistry or equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience preferably in Food and Beverage/ Food Ingredient/ Chemical Trading industry
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision, motivated, proactive and a team player
- Strong interpersonal skills and experienced in vendor management & contract negotiation
- Possess good attention to detail and organized in nature
