About the Client:

Refined over two decades, Affinity’s investment model works across a variety of control buyouts and control-oriented growth investments. By investing in core markets within Asia, the firm focuses on the sectors that benefit the most from the region’s ongoing economic transformation.

The Portfolio Management Team is looking for a Senior Associate / Vice-President to complement the existing team in APAC investment review.

About the Role:

1. Evaluation of investment opportunities (pre-investment stage) alongside investment team, including:

  • Review of financial models and model assumptions
  • Evaluate industry and company attractiveness, and fit with the existing portfolio
  • Present alternative investment outcomes, and sensitivity analysis on various outputs
  • Review financial, commercial, legal and tax due diligence aspects of the deal

2. Review of Legal Documentation including Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) and Financing documentation.

3. Post-investment monitoring of portfolio companies, including:

  • Ongoing Monthly Financial Performance and Annual Budgeting review
  • Pre-empt and highlight potential financial risks (eg. breach of financial covenants) and other portfolio risks

3. Preparation of quarterly commentary on portfolio company performance and quarterly review portfolio company valuation.


About the Requirements:

1. Minimum 6 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance or management consulting.

2. Experience working on projects for private equity clients (either financial due diligence, commercial due diligence or advisory) preferred.

3. Ability to lead, present and deliver views with deal teams and senior level stakeholders across different geographies.

4. Desired attributes are proactive, fast paced, and detailed individuals, that enjoy working in small tight knit teams.

5. Strong skill sets in the following areas:

  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Critical thinking
  • Business writing
