About the Client…
Our client is a Global Asset Management company building up a Philanthropy Management team with a Sustainability focus in Asia.
The successful candidate will work closely with global Philanthropy team to help drive the firm’s philanthropic mission in Asia, focused on Sustainability pursuits. The role will be both strategic and operational in nature, supporting sourcing, diligence, and ongoing monitoring of grant projects.
About the Responsibilities…
- Support the research of sustainability trends, and sourcing and diligence of organizations that are strategy-aligned.
- Support existing grantee partners to strengthen collaboration and wider partnerships.
- Ability to develop thoughtful and well-deliberated grant recommendation memos for approval based on diligence of proposals.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics for grants extended, and track the firm’s grant activities in Asia.
- Ability articulate strategy and impact for key audiences to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks, duties and projects as needed by the team.
About the Requirements…
- A good degree from a recognized university. Postgraduate qualification would be considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in sustainability consulting, NGOs or philanthropic organizations.
- Experience in philanthropy grant-making is a plus.
- Solid communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, detailed, able to multi-task and manage projects independently.
- Mission-minded, exceptional integrity, strong work ethic, & tight with confidential information.
- Strong research, writing and analytical capabilities including ability to synthesize issues.
- Strong commitment to excellence, highly collaborative and comfortable working in a small team environment with an entrepreneurial culture.
