Job Summary:
The Project Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Project Manager and project team in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects. This includes managing project schedules, coordinating team activities, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring timely communication between all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling and Coordination:Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules.
Organize and schedule meetings, site visits, and progress reviews.
Coordinate communication between project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting:Prepare and maintain project documents such as contracts, proposals, reports, and plans.
Track project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager.
Assist in preparing project reports, presentations, and budget reviews.
- Stakeholder Communication:Serve as the main point of contact for project team members and external stakeholders.
Communicate project updates and any changes in scope or timelines.
Respond to queries and provide project-related information promptly.
- Risk and Issue Management:Identify potential project risks and escalate issues to the project manager.
Monitor project milestones and flag any delays or risks.
Assist in managing change requests and ensure proper documentation of changes.
- Resource Management:Coordinate resource allocation, ensuring materials and personnel are available as needed.
Track inventory and purchase orders for project supplies.
Ensure proper timekeeping and attendance records for on-site personnel.
- Compliance and Safety:Ensure all team members adhere to project policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Assist in maintaining project compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
Work Environment:
The Project Supervisor will work both in an office environment and on-site, depending on the phase of the project. Occasional travel to job sites may be required. Some weekend or evening work may be necessary based on project deadlines.
