Job Description:

As a Building IT Systems Manager (with Sales Responsibilities), you will manage and oversee the deployment, integration, and maintenance of IT systems within buildings, while also driving sales of Gabkotech’s building management and security technology solutions. In addition to ensuring the smooth operation of our solutions, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and supporting the sales team in showcasing our products. Your role will require both technical expertise and the ability to engage with potential customers, demonstrating the value of Gabkotech’s offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IT Systems: Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of IT systems deployed within client buildings, including security systems, visitor management systems, and smart lockers.
  • Integration of Building Systems: Ensure seamless integration between various IT components like Building Management Systems (BMS), access control, video surveillance, and energy management systems.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that issues with building IT systems are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Work with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and upgrades of IT systems in buildings.
  • Project Management: Manage projects related to the implementation of new IT systems or upgrades in buildings, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with relevant teams.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that all building IT systems adhere to local regulations, safety standards, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • System Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency of IT systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the building facilities team, security management, and IT vendors to ensure proper system functionality and integration with building operations.
Sales & Business Development Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies for selling building IT solutions, security systems, and other integrated technologies offered by Gabkotech.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Product Demonstrations: Provide technical expertise during sales pitches, demos, and presentations, showcasing how Gabkotech’s IT systems can improve building operations.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in building management and facilities sectors, targeting potential clients and partners.
  • Sales Support: Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and tenders, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
  • Cross-Selling: Look for opportunities to cross-sell additional Gabkotech products and services, aligning them with client needs for integrated building solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:At least 3-5 years of experience in managing IT systems within a building or facilities environment, with a focus on integrated systems (BMS, security systems, access control, etc.).
    Experience in a sales or business development capacity, particularly in the IT or building management solutions industry, is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, cloud solutions, and integrated building systems.
    Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), security systems, video analytics, and access control technologies.
    Hands-on experience with system integration and troubleshooting across various platforms.
  • Sales & Business Development Skills:Proven track record of identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with clients.
    Strong communication and presentation skills to deliver technical product information and showcase the benefits of Gabkotech’s solutions.
    Ability to manage both technical and sales aspects of client interactions, including handling objections and tailoring solutions.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of managing technical projects related to building IT systems, including planning, vendor management, and execution.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to building IT systems.
  • Certifications: Certifications in IT, networking, or BMS technologies (e.g., Cisco, CompTIA, or relevant building management system certifications) are a plus.
  • Team Management: Experience in leading or coordinating small technical teams and working with cross-functional teams.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: Competitive salary of up to SGD 4,200, with performance-based incentives for sales.
  • Working Hours: Full-time position, with occasional site visits and after-hours work required.
  • Location: Primarily office-based with regular visits to client sites across Singapore.
  • Commission Structure: Opportunities for sales commissions based on the success of lead generation and sales closure.
