Our client is an established and blue-chip PE/investment firm. It is based in town. It invests in private equity funds, with a focus on the development and innovation of new investment platforms and products to make private equity (“PE”) accessible to a broader group of investors.
The co is a dynamic and innovative firm that looks to bring onboard an energetic, smart and motivated individual who has a keen interest in the operational due diligence function.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Due Diligence Review:
- Conduct operational due diligence on private equity fund managers, their funds and co -investment opportunities by evaluating their operational infrastructure, internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Review and assess the relevance of findings raised in the operational due diligence reports prepared by third party information providers.
- Provide an assessment of private equity fund managers, their funds and co-investment opportunities’ operational due diligence posture and provide a recommendation to the firm’s Operational Committee and Investment Committee regarding the investment opportunity, as well as any relevant findings.
2. Ongoing Monitoring:
- Maintain and enhance the firm’s framework for conducting operational due diligence on private equity managers, funds and co-investment opportunities.
- Track outstanding issues arising from operational due diligence and work with the investment team for updates on these issues on a periodic basis.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in operational due diligence.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the investment team to engage private equity fund managers to gather necessary information and resolve any due diligence-related issues.
- Participate in meetings with prospective and existing fund managers, where required, to discuss operational practices and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
