General Manager

China Eastern Airlines Co. Ltd., Singapore Branch

If you possess the skills and experience required to manage one of the largest and most diverse Chinese Carrier, we invite applications from high caliber, progressive professionals for the position of GENERAL MANAGER at Singapore branch office.

RESPONSIBLITIES

l The General Manager provides effective leadership to senior management, builds, and maintains strong working relationships and partnerships with relevant business partners. The position is also responsible for ensuring it operates within the guidelines of the Company’s act. He She is responsible to the Board for overseeing the corporation’s operations efficiently and effectively to ensure the airlines’ viability.

l To facilitate the development of staff within the branch office and to create a professional and well-motivated team.

l Participates in and completes all required aviation training personally and ensures all employees in region are fully trained at all times

l Ensures consistent execution of company’s marketing and visual presentation standards and direction.

l Proactively identifies and communicates various market opportunities for localized product and visual and marketing strategies.

l Reviews sales results weekly and make recommendations to correct deficiencies by identifying

l Builds team spirit and morale by actively seeking and sharing innovative ideas to improve sales

l Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing strategy linked with organisation objectives for corporate branding and promotion of products & services

l Develop and implement new training & development initiatives for the industrial work force to catch up with the required levels.

l Review sales & activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determinate areas needing improvement.

l Liaison and collaborate with head office aboard to implement standards of the developed air routes.

l Maintain a close liaison with the CEO and keep the relevant authorities updated about on-going activities.

l Hires and supervises all staff, including initial screening and interviewing for all departmental staff

l Review branch budge-control logs and monthly income statements

l Manage Airport station, Sales , Finance, Administration by setting and monitoring goals

l Ensure proper accommodation for crew members in order to ensure flights are on schedule time. Futher ensure the security of all flights operate by our Airlines so as to create a healthy and safety airlines reputation.

l Abide to the rules and regulation set in the Power of Attorney by the head office, including signing of Sales Contract with travel agencies and related business agreement with relevant authority in Singapore, obtain approval before decision made.

l Any other duties as and when assigned by the CEO of the head office


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

To be successful in client acquisition through prospecting, negotiating and contracting, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

l MBA, BA OR BSc, A Degree in Civil Aviation and air transportation related is an added advantage

l Seven years of professional experience in the similar position

l Strong project management skills

l Ability to analyze, interpret financial reports, explain policies, procedures and to evaluate plans and proposals for airlines operation routes

l Ability to work effectively, confidentially and confidently with industry partners, and all levels of Governments.

l Proven management success record

l Entrepreneurial personality with a strong zest for achievement

l Experience working in Chinese Carrier is a preference

l Excellent presentation and communication skills,

l Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese/English
