A Research Engineer position is available in the research group of Asst Prof Mike Z. Shou, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our innovative team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining web applications, transforming groundbreaking AI research into practical, user-friendly products.
The successful candidate will contribute to:
- Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, AngularJS, and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap.
- Design, optimize, and manage SQL databases.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize applications in AWS cloud environments.
- Collaborate with researchers to integrate AI research into products.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related fields
- Proven experience in full-stack development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud deployment; AWS Certification is a plus.
- Strong SQL database design and optimization skills.
- Proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js and Express.js.
- Demonstrated commitment to high coding standards, with proficiency in using version control tools such as SVN.
- Self-motivated, with a passion for learning and mastering new technologies.
- Good written and verbal communications.
- Open to Fixed Term Contract
Preferred:
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
