Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the complete execution for the task in order to do by the controlled schedule come from the Department head.
- Responsible for controlling the workers and give technical instructions, painting specification details, coating system for each and every time.
- Conduct pre-job meeting before commencement of the job.
- Daily report to the Department Head/Engineer.
- Conduct daily tool box talks and allocate manpower for right people to right work.
- Coordinate with inspectors for daily inspection calling and some quality issues.
- Obtain paint material request from the subcontractor with their signature and verified.
- Forward the verified and signed request to MMC and issue the paint to sub-con. All signed paint request should be keep in the files.
- Control and monitor the paint consumption in both module and chamber and the over consumption should be noted, recorded and report to the Engineer/HOD.
- Responsible of keep up to date daily records in the department drive.
- Responsible for workers must comply or follow the safety policy, company rules and regulations.
- Responsible for taking work permit, warning signs displayed on the work zone, tools and PPE arrangements
- Any other ad-hoc duties being assigned by your Superior.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine Shipyard operations in the same field
- At least NACE Level II Coating Inspector certified
- Knowledge of blasting and painting operation
- Understand and able to interpret technical drawing and paint specification
- Detailed understanding of contractual, commercial, safety, technical, quality aspects and their application
- Able to work under pressure and respond to changes in short notice.
