Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Provides leadership and supervision to the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance group for safe and reliable execution of routine, preventive and break-in maintenance works
- Develops strategies to improve the E&I maintenance operational excellence (OE) performance
- Ensures E&I maintenance plans and metrics are on track for continuous improvement in cost, productivity and work quality.
- Develops strategies and implement engineering solutions for improvements in equipment reliability and plant availability.
- Responsible for the annual Plant Turnaround (TA) budgeting, planning and scheduling for E&I as well as its quality and safe execution
- Develops contracting strategy and participate in negotiation of contracts for maintenance services.
- Fosters positive, supportive and team-oriented working environment.
- Sets work direction and coach team members on individual and team performance.
- Builds E&I organization capability; supports competency and skills development of E&I personnel through training/development recommendations.
Required Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 10 years of work experience with minimum 5 years in leadership role in the refinery, petrochemical or chemical industry
- Strong working knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and motor control systems
- Must understand the basic instrumentation functions and their usage in the industrial environment
- Proven leadership skills in aligning, inspiring, mentoring and motivating a diverse work team comprising both company and contract personnel.
