We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer to assist with the monitoring, scheduling, planning, resourcing, and managing of technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.
You should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. You should also have excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
In the tender phase, Project Engineers work closely with other departments to vet prospective projects, agree on timelines, draw up agreements with clients and research and negotiate with third party contractors to bring project into fruition.
The Project Engineer duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following: -
- Project management, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Monitoring and follow up with the manufacturing and construction progress
- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Facilitate site meeting with main contractor, consultant and client
- Ensure timely delivery and execution of project
- Provide engineering support during project tender phase
- Any other duties that may be assigned during work
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by the respective Professional Bodies, professional institutions or BCA
- Minimum 3 years working experience in building construction
- Use of Autocad would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
WORKING HOURS
· Monday to Fridays, 8.30am – 5.30pm
· Saturdays, 8.30am – 12.30pm
