Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Carpenter for Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree to join our Engineering Team. You will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing our Resort’s structures and fixtures within the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, including furniture, cabinetry, and flooring.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of carpentry work throughout our Resort.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is completed to Resort’s standards and complies with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of our Resort events and functions as needed.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Higher NITEC or NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing or an equivalent professional certificate
- Minimum 1 year of similar experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
- Able to work and coordinate with contractors in all work-related activities.
- Strong communication and organizational and skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
