Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to kick start your career at Citi! We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic team players, with a strong work ethic, who will join Markets Operations.
You will play a pivotal part in helping to support the lifecycle of a trade. Working closely with Business partners, Clients and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions flow through our front to back Operations teams, with no issues.
You will develop a broad and detailed understanding of the organization’s landscape, culture, processes and Technology.
You will have the opportunity to recommend creative suggestions on how to improve processes to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risk better serve our clients.
Job Requirements
- Be part of the FCX client franchise by managing a portfolio of global clients across ETD/OTC cleared.
- Complete trade lifecycle, cash and collateral, and FX processing along with regular reviews
- Ensure queries are acknowledged, investigated, and resolved within expected timeframes in line with CITI standards.
- Provide analysis and root cause for a client portfolio, attend internal meetings across both operations and the business to resolve and prevent issues re occurring .
- In partnership with the Sales, Client Executives, look to understand the front to back needs of our clients with the aim of providing them with the most optimal client experience.
- Partner with prospective clients to outline CITI client offering, also partner with Prime brokerage, sales and relationship sales.
- Provide clients with clear and concise updates relating to (market events, delays, or technology issues)
- Perform analytics to review client performance, make suggestions on how to optimise the clients flow through system and client analysis.
- Participate in documentation of business requirements and testing of new processes, systems roll outs and UAT for strategic projects both internal and external (including mandatory)
- Understand the product and regulatory environment impacting our client portfolio base along with the group procedures and CITI policy’s.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Industry Experience: 2 to 5 years relevant experience in Financial Organization i.e. Investment Banking / Investment Management / Hedge Fund / Exchange
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to a diverse audience.
- Problem-Solving: Proven track record of resolving client issues efficiently and effectively, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions that meet clients' unique needs.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in client communications, transactions, and reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
Preferred Requirements:
- Client Relationship Management - demonstrated ability to build, maintain and enhance long term relationships with a portfolio of clients
- Experience with futures products from perspective of Clearing Broker, Exchange or Buy Side
- Experience of margin and collateral processes for Exchange Derivative products
