We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in the insurance industry, coupled with a functional understanding of technology. The job plays a pivotal role in driving strategic objectives and supporting business needs through project involvement and PMO (Program Management Office) expertise.
Job description
- Collaborate with business, technology teams, and vendors.
- Understand and analyse the interplay between different systems and business impacts.
- Design end-to-end solutions based on business requirements, ensuring that these solutions are both effective and efficient in meeting the defined objectives.
- Articulate business requirements to vendors, providing effort estimation and ensuring complete coverage of the business requirements relevant to vendor delivery.
- Work closely with the IT development team, Application Architects, and vendors, evaluating solutions with business users to align expectations and solidify requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional team members and activities for business work streams or entire change and technology implementation initiatives.
- Ensure all business requirements are addressed within functional specifications and keep the Project Manager and/or functional stream leads updated on progress
- Assist business owners in reviewing UAT (User Acceptance Testing), including test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and data.
- Work closely with squad members, including but not limited to Product Owners, Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Tech Leads, Engineers to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes
- Support the delivery of project funding requests where needed
- Support the program and project stage-gate review process, health checks, providing recommendations for ongoing improvements
Job requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in life insurance
- Hands-on experience with Life and Medical Insurance project implementations.
- Experience with cloud data migration projects involving platforms like Azure, Oracle, AWS, etc.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Oracle Fusion, SQL, Java, Python, etc.
- Skilled in Agile methodologies, tools, and delivery, including Confluence and JIRA.
- Proficient in business analysis, developing business requirements, and leading IT development activities for insurance policy administration systems, including CRM systems
- Good analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex data from various sources.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
- Proficient in using business analysis tools, project management software.
- Knowledgeable in End User Testing (UAT) processes.
- Experience in vendor management, risk management, and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to deliver technology solutions with a deep understanding of business impacts.
- Creative problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
