Main Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions, including hardware, software, and security components.
- Provide expert-level support for network issues, troubleshooting complex problems and recommending solutions.
- Monitor network performance and availability, and perform regular assessments to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network-related projects and upgrades.
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and security.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to support business growth and requirements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to recommend improvements and new technologies.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology or relevant fields.
- At least 4 -7 years of relevant working experience.
- Experienced in designing and implementing complex network architectures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN solutions, utilizing both traditional and cloud-based technologies.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, VXLAN, MPLS, and other relevant protocols.
- Proficient with a wide range of network devices from leading vendors like Cisco (e.g., Catalyst & Nexus switches, ASR & ISR routers), Juniper (e.g., EX & QFX switches, MX routers), and Fortinet (e.g., FortiGate firewalls).
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, with experience implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures.
- Proficient in using network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco Prime) to monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network health and availability.
- Familiar with cloud networking concepts and platforms, including Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience integrating cloud services into existing network architectures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
