JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible in the analysis of monthly financial results / forecasts, annual budget, actuals in Asia Pacific region, allowing the organisation to communicate effectively with headquarters in Japan.
- Annual budget: Work proactively with the business stakeholders to pursue the effective formulation of the annual Budget Plan and provide management in-depth analysis for effective business decision making and execution
.Review, communicate, discuss and challenge the business impacts with business managers and provide the needed business input and commentary whenever required. - Financial Analyses: Undertake analyses on financial operational results and variances to provide information and recommendation. Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to other business stakeholders to drive business strategic objectives.
- Projects: Lead and roll out regional projects in coordination with central team in the headquarters and regional entities. Formulate and implement finance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and local accounting regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
- At least ten years of relevant audit and financial accounting experience with an MNC preferably in manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of JGAAP and the International Financial Reporting Standards
- Fluency in Japanese to coordinate and communicate between colleagues and other stakeholders across Tokyo, Singapore and other overseas offices
- Results oriented, well organized, detailed-conscious, and possess project management skills
- Prior working experience with hands-on knowledge of SAP FI COPA modules, information technology and systems will be highly advantageous
- Demonstrated the ability to work with people at any level in an organisation
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise with strong analytical skill
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills in both English and Japanese
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
