The role is responsible for supporting the full spectrum of Treasury and Disbursement of insurance operations payout. The scope covers daily processing, its related reconciliation, check and balance, provision/accrual accounting, GL by process rule, User Acceptance Test (“UAT”) in testing cases request and sign off, cashflow management and book close processing, expense allocation and formulating on-going improvement to the existing process. The team reports to Lead of Finance Operations. The expectation of the team is accurate, efficient and timely processing of payment/reconciliation/closing/UAT/ cashflow forecast while ensuring all financial operations are in compliant with relevant policies, statutory and regulatory requirement/guideline. The team is also expected to continuous seek and formulate strategy for efficiency, productive, and effective processing risk control of the complex multi-layer of business rule against system design and stay align with all governing rule. It is the team’s esteem responsibility to alert the management of any potential issue and risk that could potential impact the company unfavorably in the scope of duties.


Job Description


Responsible for insurance operations processingSupporting the daily insurance related payments transactions including distribution compensation and provide business operations support relating to insurance business transaction.

  • Maintenance of insurance Admin system sub ledger chart of accounts.
  • Supporting the month end closing activities relating to insurance and reinsurance business.
  • Supporting in preparing/reviewing of all monthly schedules as follows but are not limited to:
  1. Balance sheet reconciliation
  2. Suspense Management
  3. Bank Reconciliation
  4. Any other ad-hoc schedule or Analysis

Management of periodic exercise:

  • Liaison with Internal/External Auditor
  • Review SOX documentation
  • Review of SOPs/SLAs
  • Participate in BCP, ITDR
  • GL rollover exercise on a yearly basis
  • Update of various register eg Risk, Incident, User Developed Applications

Who we are looking for:


Work experience

  • 2 to 4 years in Finance Operations function in financial industry

Education

  • Accounting Diploma/Degree holder
  • Business Administration Degree holder
