1.0 Basic Function
- Clean rooms on whatever floors or rooms assigned to him/her by his/her supervisor and to run errands on guest supplies which are required for the convenience and comfort of the guests.
2.0 Responsibility and Authority
- Report to duty on time and in uniform for daily assignments.
- Collect cleaning/guest supplies and proceed to assigned areas.
- Follow instructions of the supervisor as to:
- Personal grooming and cleanliness.
- Daily room report concerning:
- Damage or missing articles from guest rooms.
- Changes in guest room equipment.
- Lighting fixtures or switches out-of-order.
- Plumbing fixtures out-of-order.
- Changes in guest room equipment.
- Unauthorized birds, animals, vermin or termites.
- Suspicious or unusual guest conduct.
- Guest illness.
- Guest rooms which the attendant is unable to gain access.
- 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Double locked' rooms
- Lost and Found items.
- Laundry and valet services.
- Check the trolleys are properly packed with linens, guest supplies and equipment before starting.
- Check vacant rooms and give a quick dusting over.
- Ensure that guest rooms are done in time and up to the standards required and make reference to the standard checklist.
- Clean fridge in every check out and occupied rooms.
- Ensure that rubbish bags are removed from rooms to service lift lobby for disposal.
- Take care of linen, supplies and equipment.
- Follow par stock of linen and supplies set up by the Executive Housekeeper.
- At the end of the day, clean the corridor in assigned area, dust walls along the corridors and window. Public staircases must be clear of all rubbish and kept clean.
- Clean and tidy trolleys, stack up linens and guest supplies for the following day. Clean out dirty rags/cleaning cloths and give to laundry for washing and collect clean one. Empty vacuum cleaner daily and make sure it is clean.
- Perform other duties as directed.
