- Provide administrative support and manage daily library operations, including resource management, collection development, and budget oversight.
- Develop and implement library policies and SOPs, and generate reports on library usage and transactions.
- Oversee the Library System, ensuring accuracy in circulation, cataloguing, and online catalog access.
- Manage asset tracking, loan services, and inter-library loans, while handling enquiries with prompt responses (3 hours for simple, 1 day for reference, 3 days for research).
- Conduct in-depth research, monitor global trends, and provide research assistance.
- Publish regular bulletins, manage electronic resource reviews, and update the library’s resources.
- Perform stock-taking, weeding, shelving, binding, and tagging of library items, and ensure materials are processed and organized efficiently.
- Conduct information literacy programs, library tours, and support knowledge management initiatives.
Qualification:
Minimum Diploma.
At least ten (10) years of relevant experience working in libraries of similar capacity.
Certificate in Library and Information Management is preferred.
Working hours:
Mondays to Thursdays: 8.30am to 6.00pm
Fridays :8.30am to 5.30pm
