The Job
The Senior Accountant will be joining the high performing team and be responsible for timely, accurate and complete reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. This role also includes active participation in finance projects for instance system changes, process improvements and new initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Active involvement in finance transformation projects which include system migration, process improvements and new initiatives.
- Involve in month-end closing, review/prepare balance sheet reconciliations, review/prepare management accounts and head office reporting.
- Review/prepare reports to regulator and local authorities including IRAS, MAS, SGX.
- Keep abreast of financial and regulatory development, analyse impact and lead implementation of changes to reporting/monitoring requirements.
- Involve in external audit, direct and indirect tax compliance process.
- Suggest and implement process improvement for effective and efficient reporting.
- Create/update written policies and standard operating procedures as required.
- Interact with other stakeholders and effectively address queries/request on finance related matters.
- Assist in BAU activities and other ad-hoc matters.
The Talent
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CA, CPA or ACCA qualification
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services in a similar role
- Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GST, corporate income tax and transfer pricing
- Knowledge of Exchange and MAS rules is a plus.
- Experience in dealing with regulator and senior management is a plus.
