EOS Innovation Singapore Pte Ltd has a requirement for qualified and experienced laser physicist/engineer to join a dynamic R&D team as a Principal Laser Scientist in the areas of developing advanced high power and high energy laser systems. The work is challenging and applicants should be technically capable and highly motivated to work on the design and development of advanced laser systems. Applicants must possess appropriate qualifications, a Ph.D in laser physics and extensive experience in the areas of developing high power and high energy lasers are essential.
Primary duties:
- Undertake research and development of high power (multi-kW) Continuous Wave (CW) fiber lasers, amplifiers and high energy (multi-Joule) pulsed solid state lasers.
- Design and development of multi-beam combination technologies including Coherent Beam Combination, Spectral (Wavelength) Beam Combination, and other multi-beam combination technologies.
- Design and development of other laser and optical technologies, such as phase conjugate mirror, imaging relay systems, adaptive optics, beam expanders, single frequency generation, etc.
- Undertake simulation and modelling of gain, pumping geometry, and thermal distribution of high power/high energy lasers.
- Design and development of sub-systems and assemblies as a part of the major laser systems.
- Undertake installation, alignment, testing, maintenance and debugging of laser systems, laser power supplies, optical instruments, associated electronics and control software.
- Preparation and maintenance of high standard documentation in respect of design and development work undertaken in accordance with various quality objectives and procedures.
