Job Description & Requirements


EOS Innovation Singapore Pte Ltd has a requirement for qualified and experienced scientist to join a dynamic R&D team as a Senior Team Leader working in the areas of developing advanced high power and high energy laser systems. The work is challenging, and applicants should be technically capable and experienced to provide leadership in the design and development of advanced laser systems. Applicants must possess appropriate qualifications, a Ph. D in laser physics, with extensive experience in the areas of developing and managing the R&D of high power and high energy lasers are essential.


Primary duties:

  • Undertake research and development of high-level system concepts of advanced laser systems for defence and space applications.
  • Design and development of advanced high power (multi-kW) Continuous Wave (CW) fibre lasers, amplifiers, and high energy (multi-Joule) pulsed solid state lasers.
  • Design and development of multi-beam combination technologies including Coherent Beam Combination, Spectral (Wavelength) Beam Combination, and other advanced beam combination technologies.
  • Design and development of other advanced laser technologies, such as phase conjugate mirror, imaging relay systems, single frequency generation, etc.
  • Design and development of advanced optical systems such as adaptive optics, telescopes, and beam management systems.
  • Provide necessary leadership and co-ordination for members of R&D team for various R&D activities.
  • Provide training to young team members on lasers, optics, and photonics.
  • Undertake alignment, testing, operation, maintenance and debugging of laser systems, laser power supplies, optical instruments, associated electronics, and control software.

Preparation and maintenance of high standard documentation in respect of design and development work undertaken in accordance with various quality objectives and procedures
