Skills and experiences required
- Degree in Building Services Engineering or its equivalent
- Proficient in use of application software such as AutoCAD 2D and 3D, M.S. Office, Primavera, etc
- At least 5 years of Design and Construction experience in related field or multi discipline-oriented construction firm.
- A good knowledge in Layout and Foundation design for process plants and equipment, fabrication techniques (e.g. welding, cutting and assembly) and standard components (e.g. bearings, motors and power transmission)
- Knowledge on local code of practices, and international standards and specifications
- Possesses intermediate knowledge of applicable codes, and implications on design
- Proficient in electronic mark-up software, MS Office, MS Project, Sketchup, AutoCAD and other relevant 3D software
- Ability to work well in a high volume, fast-paced environment as a member of a collaborative team
- Able to communicate effectively to meet our client’s requirements
- Good written and spoken English, proficiency in Chinese will be an added advantage (to liaise with our Chinese speaking counterparts)
Duties & Responsibilities
- To handle all design-related tasks and the technical improvement process
- To review and advice on existing (in-house or from external) design documentation.
- To provide technical support to project teams during the construction phase of the project
- To ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, and that they are in compliance with operational and safety standards
- To be able to communicate effectively with our clients
