Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced L2 Application Support Engineer to provide quality day-to-day production support for Java/Web-based applications. The ideal candidate will coordinate infrastructure maintenance, manage new application releases, and ensure smooth operations by collaborating with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide L2 production support for Java/Web-based applications, ensuring timely response to production issues in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
· Coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance activities.
· Manage application release implementations, adhering to best practices for release management.
· Collaborate with various teams (Application, Infrastructure, Vendors, Security, and Change) to provide seamless business support.
· Analyse and resolve production issues, ensuring the highest quality of service.
· Enhance and optimize existing support processes to maintain/improve service levels.
Skills & Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in an L2 application support environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform impact analysis in a structured manner.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently, proactively, and under pressure.
Core Technical Competencies:
· Linux and Unix Shell Scripting
· SQL (MySQL/MSSQL)
· OpenShift/Docker
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with AngularJS, ActiveMQ, Elastic Search
· Familiarity with application monitoring tools
· Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
· Python and microservices architecture knowledge
· Experience in application implementation projects in financial institutions is an advantage.
This is a shift-based role, requiring flexibility to work across various shifts.
